Forres Osprey bus
We provide transport, for the Elderly, Infirm and Disabled including Children, of the Forres area and its environs, to enable them to participate in social and recreational activities which would otherwise be denied them.
welcome
Forres Osprey Bus is a voluntary organisation which was formed in 1973 to provide free transport to the elderly, infirm and disabled including children of Forres and its environs.
RAF Kinloss provided the first vehicle in 1973 but since the departure of the RAF from Kinloss in 2012 the bus has been housed behind Forres House Community Centre.
Everyone are volunteers and we are always on the look out for new volunteers. If you interested in helping out have a look at become a driver or Escort.
Drivers
To become a driver you will need to pass our driver induction but before that you will need a D1 or B on your Licence. You work alongside an escort to plan your route to collect pre book passengers and help with getting passenger on and off the bus.
Escorts
If you can’t drive but still want to help out why not volunteer as an Escort. You will help passengers get on and off the bus and help the driver with the ramp. If you have some basic first aid skills this would also be useful.
