Q. How do I book the bus
A. Go to the Book the Bus page and follow the instructions.
Q. How many buses do you have for use?
A. We have 2 minibuses: Osprey is the diesel bus with unlimited range and Thistle is the electric bus with range limitations.
Q. Are the buses accessible for wheelchair users?
A. Thistle has a tail lift and space for 2 wheelchairs. If wheelchair spaces are needed, please liaise with the Bus Coordinator as seating has to be re-arranged to accommodate this.
Q. How much does it cost to use the bus?
A. We ask for a donation of £0.50p per mile to cover fuel costs.
Q, How do I pay a donation for using the bus?
A. We prefer BACS payment, although cheques are accepted. Contact jo@forresospreybus.co.uk for bank details and a receipt.
Q. How many people do the buses carry?
Osprey can seat up to 13 people (including the driver).
Thistle can seat up to 13 people or 7 (including the driver) and 2 wheelchairs.
Q. Can anyone use the buses?
A. Our charitable purpose is to support people disadvantaged because of age, ill health, disability, financial or other reasons. Groups supporting one or more people who might fall into these categories can use the buses. You can read our governing document here. (Insert link).
Q. Can anyone drive the bus?
A. To drive the buses, you must be aged 22-70 and have a full UK licence. You must undertake a familiarisation and induction session with the Bus Coordinator before being approved to drive.
